To see how carbon footprints vary across Warwickshire, and how your neighbourhood compares to others, then you might find the Place Based Carbon Calculator a useful resource. It estimates the average carbon footprint per person for each Lower Super Output Area (LSOA). These are relatively small areas with a population of 1,500 – 3,000, usually c. 650 households.
Produced with funding from UK Research and Innovation through the Centre for Research into Energy Demand Solutions, it takes a consumption-based approach, based on a mix of local and national data. Each area has a grade from A+ (low emissions) to F- (high emissions) in comparison to the England average.
