Big Green Week - Children’s Forest Tending Day at Leasowe Farm, Radford Semele
You're invited to a tree tending day at the Children's Forest at Leasowe Farm on Saturday June 17.
As the weather continues to warm up, the sunshine and showers means the grasses and wildflowers start to grow in the field. It's great for insects and other wildlife but the little trees tend to get a bit overwhelmed whilst they are young.
To keep over 2600 newly planted trees growing well, the team will be watering, weeding and re-mulching them and your help is welcome. Head down from 2pm to lend a hand and take the kids too if you're looking for an outdoor activity to keep them occupied!
Bring gloves, a wheelbarrow and/or watering can if you have any - the team can provide if not.
